Need avi. to mp4 converter

i have some .avi movies andi wan to get them onto itunes but i cant find program to do it with. i have found a bunch but i dont have 30 to spend on one cause i only have a few movies. if anyone knows a free program that would be great.

jodix. type it in on google, and click on like the first or second one. its free, and it works great.

what does it mean when i try to convert it but it says "this file has no video stream and cannot be converted"...is there anyway aroudn this to convert something?

ive never gotten that, have you tried multiple videos or is it just for that one? you may need another program that converts video streams or something, but jodix always converts avi's for me.

does anyone no how to send a program to another computer if that is even possible...i found out my dad has teh program i need but the file is on my computer and is to big to send is there any way?

copy the program to your ipod harddrive (go to my computer and select the G drive i think) and then plug it in to the other computer and copy it to the hard drive of that computer. or if you don't have an ipod, just use a flash drive. if you dont have that.....you're on your own.
