Wow, we were just having a discussion about this on the lift today.  My friend worked at Telluride when it happened and was telling me about it.  Apparently he was filming in the park on the very last day of the season.  An employee was trying to be a nice guy and gave him a lift up on a snow cat, Hoot slipped and fell under the tread.  It was a horrible accident, R.I.P. 

The employee had criminal charges pressed against him too, I'm not sure how that turned out.
