Hey everyone, I know this problem is hard to give tips for, but I'm desperate so i will ask. For years I have struggled to fine the right ski boots, I hace been fitted and wasted my money on three different pairs of boots in the last four years simply because none of them fit me correctly. I'm not sure whether my having an odly shaped foot or wide cuff size has anything to do with it. I have had a pair of boots cut to see if they fit better, but at this point I'm ready to give up. I have always loved skiing, and the thought of not being able to do it anymore really pisses me off. If I can't be comfortable skiing i may have to switch to snowboarding and I don't want to do that.

I was fit three times by guys who were supposed to be certified boot fitters. I always feel like all bootfitters dont give a shit about the customer, it feels like they just want t get rid of their boot stock.

your at the wrong place then. Find the best bootfitter in your area....i have big time problems too. This year Ive put in an intuition liner and I have booster straps also. Its a great combo but still not perfect. I know your frustration.

boot fitting is probably 50% on you, they can find a bunch of boots that will fit your foot, but its up to you to tell them whats comfortable and fits perfectly, if the boot doesnt fit exactly right dont buy it, and that fact that you are going to switch to snowboarding because your boots hurt your poor little feet makes you just seem like a pussy

He's not a pussy, it's just not enjoyable when you get really bad feet pain/shin bang. I've thought about this a few times, but decided everytime that I love skiing too much. I get really bad shin bang, but now I just deal with it the best I can.

FYI, a certified bootfitter means just about nothing. you need to talk to racers and shop owners, reps, etc, and find a true custom bootfitter. if your feet are fucked, it will be expensive, but worth it. your much better off to spend a bunch up front, and be comfy for years, than just buying stock boots year after year and being in pain. Also, Surefoot or instaprint footbeds are an absolute MUST. they help tremendously in aligning your foot and legs.
