Why is line never in major movies

ya. why is that? i always see armada, rossi, head, saloman, and sometimes k2. but never LINE in any of the major ski movies....

ya pollard gets spots. but hes the only person i ever see in movies. and idea was like 3 people... and 1 of them was ep. doesn't count for the any other line skier in any other major movies.
i was just wondering why, it didnt make sense. and my friend always talks shit kuz he's got armada and says how shitty line are cuz they never have skiers in these movies

Last year their were line MC parts in PNW, Wanderland, and Idea. Also politics come into play sometimes and you have to throw down a lot of $$$$ for a video part in some production companies which shall remain unnamed...

im going to get some shit for this,

apart from pollard, line dont really have any top, top pros. They have some sick athletes on their team but apart from pollard no sammy's tj's candide's dumonts etc

These are the people tgr, msp etc are after for their movies

yea they just dont really have a big pro team, but their army of ams is getting sicker by the day so I'm sure soon enough they'll be showing up in big movies.

that's soley becuase LINE is really an East Coast Company. everyone they sponsor isn't geared toward big air and superpipe. I'd take wesson, strenio and flynn against olson, shiller, and dumont on urban anyday. just my opnion.

i concur, Line is pushing the sport in the right direction and I'd rather watch Line Ams destroy EC parks than see dumont and olsson become aerialists with baggy pants and cool skis.

Money Money Money! Just because Line can't pay to sponsor pros or get their crap in the movies doesn't mean their product is inferior. Hell, almost makes me like it more.

Take music for instance... Just because you see Brittney Spears or some other no-talent is all over the place and in your face, making money and getting awards doesn't mean she's good, just popular. People are sheep! Screw popular, underground can be as good and in many cases better than popular.

I'm not bagging on major ski manufacturers like I am Brit, I'm just sayin' is all....

Where at all in this post did anyone say Line product was inferior to other ski companys, the title is "Why is Line never in major movies" not why Line skis suck....

Line has been owned by K2 for a little while now, (I heard about it last season), so they definitely have access to some money. The way I think its run is as an independant company still though, so maybe that is why. Whatever it is, I'm sure they have it figured out.

i'd like to see the EC guys to become more ariellist and to have olsson and dumont do more uban, i think urban is a good direction but when you say "the right direction" that is retarted, im sorry, but you need to have both. Despite the fact that some of the urban shit is really cool and creative such as wall rides on giant clock's (Freeskier Magazine Jossi Wells) and sliding the gnarliest quadruple double kink curved to the right the double flips are just as creative, innovative, and progressive. Have you created your own double flip? no but i bet you have done an urban rail. So i disagree when you say its in the right direction becaus the right direction is in all directions (if you get what i am saying).

What major film company is gonna come to the east for reasons other than rails? If you dont live west, you dont have a budget. simple fact of being a skier in the east. So how do you get a movie segment and or sponsors that will pay? move west. You think Ahmet would have been all over ns and shit if it wasnt for his segment in enjoy and realtime? thats the result of him moving from new york to utah.  No big company wanted to film him hitting rails in new york when he was living in new york. Same thing with Line MC's. Other than Max who shoots with theory 3, most of the MC's are in the east, and are working on trying to move west or get out west.  Once they go west, im sure film company's will want to take them back east or midwest so they can shoot them on rails.

nailed it on the head... even though meatheads has proven year after year that the east coast can produce great skiing and great skiers, the west is where it's at and i'm pretty sure everyone will agree with that. i know that's where i'm heading after college...

well you guys pretty clearly answered my question. thanks. and im definitly not thinkin LINE is inferior. im buying new lines at the end of this year, and will ride them for many years to come.

also- the west may be where its at for skiing. but not washington. fuckin horrible state. Baker gets tons of snow (usually the most snowfall over the world per year) but the ski mountain is too small. crystal just blows. stevens is prolly the best in washington and its still not anything like Park City or Mammoth.
so move west, but not to washington... haha

living in the east you learn to love small mountains. even though big mountains are fun, the invariably bring crowds, and that is never good. i'd do anything to shred in washington and enjoy all that snow for myself in your glades, and droppin small cliffs and pillows and mini jib and shit. you are lucky and dont forget it, no matter how small your mountain is learn to love it, and jib that shit so hard until you can't jib it anymore, and with the next snow repeat it. be happy you dont shred 300' vertical after school everyday and only get the ski the "big mountains" of maine (2000' feet max) on the weekends, with a decent park and shit. so yea, be stoked you have snow.

I think there are more shots of LINE in Idea than K2 and K2 is a major sponsor of the movie. Also in TBC Brandon Becker had the opening scene and he was reppin' LINE
