Motion & Illustrator Help

Ok so I have two questions, how do you set the background of your illustrator artwork to transparent like in photoshop?

Also does anyone on here know the program Motion well? I'm trying to get into it. Im not quite sure how to work it. Any help will be much appreciated.

i believe that it actually is automatic, it just doesnt show up as the gray and white squares. i think you can change that in preferences.

in illustrator you just have to be sure that you dont have fills in the objects you want to be transparent.

I use motion everyday.....truly you need to take a class, I'v been taking classes for 2 years and I still learn something new everyday
