Bindings - remounting question

Depends how strong you want the bindings to stay in there when you rescrew - also depends on the condition of the pre existing holes - you could helicoil which would make the hold MUCH stronger, and/or glue the screws in

It isn't a difficult job, but assuming that they have the same screw patters, a shop shouldn't charge you much at all do to the remount, and they will have all the equipment/expertise to do it properly..

If you mean you want to just swap them over and keep themo nthe other set then it's no big deal. You need the right drill bit, glue and know what you're doing to not damage the holes. So take it to a shop to get it done properly - $10 cash to the dude or a six pack and they'll do it there and then if they're not busy. If it's done properly then they'll be strong. I had Salomons transferred back into old holes on 01 Line Skogens (back when Line's quality was absolutely horrible) and they held up to a hell of a lot of abuse as beater skis. I bent the tips into reverse camber on a back crash but had zero binding issues.

If you mean you want to swap the bindings between the skis regularly yourself then you'd need to helicoil both sets of skis. That's 16 helicoils. Some shops might charge you $5 each (you do the math) or maybe $50 for the two pairs if they were feeling really generous.

Yeah, I meant the right screwdriver. And 32 helicoils in total.

Do they use glue always?

I guess I'll take em to a shop.
