Kinda Long
This past weekend I took a day to try out my new Fujatives. First run, I am screwing around with how flexy these skis are and I lose my balance, fall and break my pole about an 2 inches above the basket. These poles were busted up as it was, but it was just annoying. I skied with one short and one long cause I just could not get use to the no poles while being on a new pair of skis as it is. Later, I go in for lunch and this mountain has a free ski check so I give the guy my skis and busted poles. The guy tells me they wont let me ski with the busted pole cause it does not have a basket, but tells me to hold on. He goes, grabs me rental poles and tells me to just paint them when I go home. I was gonna try to grab some rental poles anyway if they wouldn't let me ski, but for a worker to go get them for me was just awesome. I wanted to tip him, but if they get caught taking tips they get fired. Anyway, later I am on my last run through the park and I find a 30 GB Ipod in the snow and it was on. I thought this was awesome cause me and my brother have competitions on finding stuff on trails, before this the best thing was a rental snowboard (and yes its in my basement). Anyway, after I pick it up, I am thinking how awesome this is, but I soon feel guilty about the fact that it could belong to someone that is not a spoiled little brat. So I do the unthinkable, with a little coaxing from my girlfriend of course, and turn it in to lost and found.
