Search bar

searchbar is an awesome tool, unlike you. Let me explain how a searchbar works:

A searchbar looks though a category defined by the site's administrator:IamNopoles. This tool is beside the blank bar were the default setting is on Forum, therefore unless changed by a user, the search will sear the forum only.

A searchbar researches key words through a database. The trick to get it right is to input a single word closely resembling the thread subject. For example, say you are looking for articles on a searchbar: if you type the single word search, you will have more chances finding the thread you are looking for. If you input: search bar, the research will be more refined, also skipping threads that do not contain either word. If you input mistakes in spelling, well its time to go back to grade school. So, if you use many words in a search such as: "searchbars dont work" no threads will be found!

The third reason that cannot use the searchbar also has to do with off topic thread names, which the searchbar uses. Usualy people call their threads:"OMFG he did it so well" and he is talking about pottery. So what you can suggest to enhance searchbar is to attach a description categorie such as Big Air to refer to a picture of a rodeo 9 on chad's gap.

wow owned, also i wouldn't complain about the searchbar too much if you didn't searchbar "searchbar" before making this "search bar" thread. If you did it may have saved you a bit of embarrassment, but otherwise i think your right,  this site can use a better searchbar system.

Although you make valid points on the searchbar's current status, it is much more beneficial to everyone to have a search engine that not only searches through thread names, but also thread contents. It could definatly be more refined, and anyone who's are a member another forum will probably agree.

NS has a really basic search system, that probably worked really well a few years ago. But with the amount of members, and threads being created, i think it could definatly use some upgrading.

yea on youtube and websites like that when you upload a vid then you put tags on it so when those tags are typed into the search bar, the vid comes up. we should have that

yeah.  I have no qualms about the forum search bar, but the vids are kinda hard to find with it.  I might be mistaken, but I think it orders them by date, not relevance, so since there are probably WAY more videos related to your search than there are threads, its much harder to find videos.  I think thats what he's saying.  I like this ^ idea
