Tomorrow is the last day for voter registration/party affiliation change before the primaries

register republican and vote for ron paul if you want legalized weed...and i know 9/10 of you do.

cares who ever is in charge after this failure of an admin is going to have a helluva time getting out of the hole.... but I m also not voting because Im a felon.

vote for ron paul if u want a wasted vote, seriously.  his opinions and ideas may be the most appealing to me, you, and your peers; but the fact of the matter is that just like Nader, voting for ron paul will not make a difference.


not necessarily for the primaries, but for next fall during actual presidential elections, i highly suggest each and every one of you; if not republican and if you have not already claimed residency in Utah, to acquire an ABSENTEE BALLOT from your home state.

this is due to the fact that no matter who you vote for, Utah has and always will be (atleast in our lifetimes) republican.  i guarantee ur wasting ur vote by voting anything except republican in this quite conservative state to say the least.

I can almost guarentee you that Ron Paul is someone put forth by some part of the republican party to seep votes away from the legit dem candidates. Do you really think that the republican party would support that any other way? Any of his ideas? Seriously.... think about it.

They don't spend any money on him, everything hype is done by college students or his other fans. HE's the stereotypical left wing beliefs.

This has been done before in presidential elections in this country. It's bullshit, but I would put money on it being what's going on.

Don't vote for Ron Paul. Vote for a serious candidate that will actally be likely to promote change, and win. It's fucked up that you have to go for the lesser evil that is more likely to win, but it will be years before that changes.

Ron Paul left wing? You either don't know anything about him or anything about the political spectrum. Paul is the only true conservative running and for the most part hasn't received support from the party. He is the opposite of "stereotypical left wing beliefs." You think a lot of democrats are going to vote for a libertarian who wants to get rid of the IRS, the Federal Reserve, and the Department of Education? Besides the total lack of logic there, it's irrelevant at this point because we're still pre-nomination - the parties aren't concerned about stealing votes from each other at this point (although they certainly are concerned with nominating someone who will beat the democratic nominee).

Ron Paul got second place in the Utah Straw Poll.
He broke the record for the most money ever raised in one day.
He raised more money last quarter than any of the other Republican candidates. His average donation, I believe, is around $100, and most of the other candidates' average donations are around $1500, which means he's getting his money from more different people.
In most of the polls they do, they call people who are registered republican.  This doesn't take into account new voters, independents, and democrats who switch over to vote for Ron Paul.  
He's expected to do pretty well in New Hampshire.

Comparing him to Nader is just ridiculous.  He's running for the Republican nomination, and he has a ton of support--he's not a third party candidate.  

^ so, Ron Paul got a whole 8% in NH primaries. impressive i guess, but not effective.  on top of that, the majority of independents voted for McCain.

its interesting how right now the race for president isnt between parties, its between 2 democrats. clintons got some awesome healthcare ideas i think she might be a good candidate. obamas good too but i dont think hes got the experience
