So I'm planning on staying around Alta but I also want to check out some other mountains. So a couple of questions does Utah have any multi mountain passes? Like I know theres the Alta-Snowbord one but is there one pass that will get into a bunch of other mountains. Also how long of a drive would you say it is from Alta to the Canyons and Alta to Snowbasin?

if you want to visit the PC area as well as little cottonwood, i would stay at the base of the canyon, like outside salt lake so that the drive is about the same no matter where you are going.

yeah it would be a bitch to drive every where from alta.
the crystal inn off of 15 is a great place to stay...right by the freeway.

That sucks that they dont have any multi passes. I really want to stay near Alta/Snowbird because we're only there for like 8 days skiing and I wanna spend most of that at Alta and then just check out some other mountains for a day. I'm just wondering how far a drive it would be to Canyons or Powder Mountain and if it would be worth it.

alta to the canyons/park city area would probably be close to an hour.

from alta to the canyons, probably an hour or so. closer to 2 hours up to powmow. as for whether or not it would be worth it, that all depends on the weather. the ogden mountains get hit by storms much differently than the cottonwoods or pc, so just watch the weather. keep in mind that powder mountain will always have MUCH shorter lines than you'll find in lcc. so will bcc, which is worth checking out.

if you just want to ride a few different ones, get your tickets to alta/bird, and pick up individual tickets at the lifthouse. it's a ski shop at the base of big cottonwood, right next to the 7-11. they sell them at a discount. idk about powder mountain, but they have big and little cottonwood resort plus park city resort tickets.

Powder Mountain is an hour and a half from SLC, and been getting pounded with the last few storms, you can usually get discount tickets at Gas stations all over in Ogden. bring at least 10 extra bucks if you hit up Powder to buy yourself a ride on the cat skiing, its pretty much the cheapest cat skiing in the US, and its super fun.
All times are Eastern (-5)
