Computer Trouble.

So I've been away from home for about 2 days, and upon comming home I found that my PC does not want to start up when the power button is pressed. I played a few games / browsed the net for an hour or two before leaving and to my knowledge everything seemed to work perfectly fine.

I smell no burning electronics from the back of the case, but I have a feeling it is related to the power supply. Can anyone help me narrow down the culprits? And my computer was unplugged and turned off before I left so I'm positive no power surges knocked it out while I was away, nor anyone was there to fuck with it.

Can you see an LED inside the power supply when the power is switched on?
If you have another PC in the house, swap power supplies and see if it works - if not, could be something more major - but sounds like a power supply issue to me.

Made this thread on my laptop, and I made pretty damn sure I plugged the sucker in before making this post. I just really don't want to buy a new PSU when it could be anything.

definitely the power supply, i just replaced the one on mine for the 2nd time they burn out pretty easily

and you can check it with a volt meter, plug it in, and the power things that go into hard drives and cd roms should read 5 volts.

So the power switch on the back should be pointing towards the circle and not the line? Just making sure that it's all done correctly. I checked all the connections going to my MoBo, unfortunately the only other PSU in the house is 300W and I need roughly 400W to boot properly.
