Probably the coolest thing ever. For all you park rats out there, get on the mountain, ski some groomers, learn how to carve, and ski some bumps. My advice to the NS crowd. This has got to be the worst thread ive ever made but im really bored

Fuck man getting cheers from the chair is the best feeling, whether it be skiing bumps, ripping switch, dropping cliffs, or just fucking going balls out and throwing backflips on the most random shit.
One of the best feelings in the world.

don't know about you but sometimes you have to ride to the park and they have little jibs and jumps on the side of the run usually that are halfway decent

Word, getting cheers from the lift is great, except for when it comes sarcastically from little douchecake kids who think they're all that. That just pisses me off.

cheers from the lift are great..especially on a good mogul line. i wish more people could appreciate how sick skiing bumps is. when i was younger i was skiing bumps at okemo and a guy on the lift started chanting "go junior go." at like 10 or 11 years old, it made me feel so damn cool.

I know what you're talking about. I don't usually ski right under the lift because it is always skied out and I have an addiction to the fresh, but earlier this year I was in the right place at the right time and had a rippin run, cheers and all, it felt good. I think that as much as I hate to admit it, it is nice to get a little recognition from time to time. Makes me think I should give a shout out to others too.

last monday we had a powder day, and i was just killing it under the lift, until i hit a patch of ice and fell flat on my face. the lift was stopped and everyone was cheering. it felt so good. then later, i was throwing 3's off this cliff, and after i landed it, there was just this group of 7 year olds in ski school just standing with their mouths WIDE open. it was hilarious

Yep. yardsales are definitely considered awesome - your equipment needs to be in 5 different places for it to be a total success though. I'm pretty good at doing that at the worst possible time

yeah,
skiing late season bumbs at killington is the best,
wearing a rediculous clothes, not having to worry about staying warm,
flying down bump lines, slush flying in your face,
hearing cheers from the lift. You stop and look around and everyone has a huge grin on their face.
Then you hit the lift line chug some gatorade and do it all over again.
Cant beat the vibe.

yea the reason i made this thread was because i was skiing the top of Outer Limits at killy right under the lift and ripping up some fresh pow and bumps and i got like 2 or 3 cheers. It was sick. Such a good feeling. OL is a sick trail for it caue the lift goes right up it

i got a cheer the other day when i pulled a three off a catwalk. it was sketchy but i saw some guy clapping.
the best was today tho, i was skiing w/ my little brother in Park 101, Beaver Creek when i did a 270 onto a lil flat box and some lil kid was like, "THAT WAS AWESOME DUDE!!" and i gave him a thumbs up

that's sick, I'm gonna make it a point to cheer on people on OL or any other lift trail. some people were ripping needles eye liftline a few weeks ago..
my first time down OL when I was like 10 or maybe younger I was scared shitless and this guy on the lift is like he can't do it! but then my dad was like yes he can! and then I did. showed that bitch hahaha, I'm still ripping it today, I wonder where he is..
once at Okemo I was ripping these bumps on a blue which I love because you can for awhile without getting ahead of yourself and flying off in the air and someone was like woow. I felt so awesome haha.

pow turns and cheers are always great, i wish i skied with poles more often, because i love bumps, but they dont really work out with no poles, but with my knees i can only manage 1 or 2 bump runs a day so i guess it works out

yeah man rippin bumps and getting cheers from the lift is the best - i used to get it all the time when i was under 12 partly because i looked 2 years younger than i actually was because i was so short

getting cheered on is the best ever...last year i was a keystone and we were in the beginners park and i did a 180 and my friend did a 360 on this little kicker and there was a ski school right there and all the little kids just started clapping it was sick

oh one little side story, thunder lift at jackson has a couple cliffs right above the lift line, so people are always cheering at people. Anywho, this little kid...maybe 12-13, is traversing thru the bumps across the trail, when all of the sudden he finds himself ontop of a nice 12 fter. Kid is confused and starts to try and hike then a group of 5 or so guys in the lift like yell "CHARGE IT" the kid pauses...looks over then hucks it, it was aweful style, but it was so great, kid landed, cartwheeled, then landed back on his feet and skied out, pretty neet

hahah, cheers from the lift are the best.
the other day, it was getting late, one of our last few runs, and i was with aznPEACEski and we decided to take a run through the park. i just nosepressed the box and stopped to wait for him, and some older girls on the lift yelled "that was a 10!" to me, so aznPEACEski hit the box and they were like "that was a nine! what he did was a nine but you got a ten!" of course i rubbed it in his face, bwahaha.

so true, today at cop they were having a pipe comp so all the legit freestyle skiers were there and people were doing backs and fronts of a small kicker, lift went crazy.
How cop is set up, the park is right next to the chair, there isn't as much cheering as smart ass kids scoffing and jeering at people tho.

cheers rule! and nothing beats ripping down a good run way too fast to get them.
