FS - Stockli Snake 170 w/ Look P12's

Up again, my snakes, size 170 with look P12's.  The binders have seen one day, the skis about 11 in near perfect condition, no rails, just regular resort riding and always tuned to stockli's specs and waxed after every time out.  Dimensions are 114-80-108.  There is one slight scratch on top sheet above binding toe piece. I love these skis and was going to keep them but need the funds for actual lift tickets as well as some other things that have come up recently. 

Link here http://www.ski-review.com/content/view/46/30/   If you don't know anything about Stockli - these are hand made in Switzerland from an extremely well respected race ski manufacturing company. Stockli skis are absolutely bombproof and the Snakes are a fantastic all mountain ski when you're not in the park. These are extremely rare and very hard to come by in the states. They have a raised snakeskin top sheet that changes color from deep blue to green and really shines. Stockli only made these for that year and will never make them again as they are extremely expensive to produce with this level of detail and the raised skin on the top sheet.

The P12's are set to 325mm boot, these are the 04-05 looks with the turntable heal that are getting harder to come by now. These were mounted once before for marker "free" bindings so I would like to sell these together, however I will consider selling separately if I have buyers for both skis and bindings. 

These retail for over $900 just for the skis alone and the lowest price I've seen on the Internet is $499 + shipping on for sizes 160 and 180, and after that it's up to $900 on international websites. actually stoekli skis are probably made better than a lot of jib skis here is the us.  pretty nice skis

haha, that's hilarious. I'm not sure but I don't think Scott Schmidt is sponsored by Target.  Let me help educate you a bit since you don't know anything about Stockli - A swiss company that has been making skis for over 70 years, every single ski has always been hand made, and they produce only 45,000 pairs a year.  They are huge in the race and free ski scene (Scott Schmidt's signature ski has been a staple for quite some time), and they make some of the best skis available.  If you've never ridden a Stockli I suggest you hit a demo booth sometime because there is not much else on the market that can give that kind of ride and performance.  Thanks for looking.

you havent heard of these skis? they were in a bunch of freeskier mag's. saw an add in the freeskier buyers guide for Stockli, with a semi hot chick holdin the skis over her tittays.

Bump - also willing to separate skis and bindings as long as skis sell for sure.  Also local pickup is an option to eliminate shipping costs

I'm a FIS GS and SL racer sponsored by Stockli (amongst others). The reason you have never heard of them is they don't have millions (well, they do, they rather not spend it though) to give to world class athletes to get the ski. Further, they are some of the most well-known skis in Europe, viz. Switzerland, France, and Austria; even with Atomic's presence (read: money) in Austria.

Also, Stockli refuses to change their FIS race skis even for the pros on the Swiss Ski Team - what you get is what they get. With the big companies (Rossi, Atomic, Volkl, Fischer - the WC versions that you can buy are NOT what the pros ski on - they get custom skis [read: the topsheet of who makes them doesn't matter, you aren't getting them, but hey, it's good marketing ... for dolts). Stockli takes their spoonsored rider's input and incorporates them when they make changes to the ski every two years.

I don't know much about free skiing but I do know that these skis are 'based' (whatever that means) oin racing platform (ie. wood core, some of the same feature as the Laser SL and GS FIS skis) . They maybe the best skis out there - for somebody who can flex them (meaning you have to be extremely strong). If you've ever been on a race ski, the second stiffest would be Atomics, these are about 6 times as stiff as Atomic WC skis. The most popular US ski racing ski would be the Volkl Racetigers - Stockli make Volkls' feel like noodles.

Anyways, if you are strong (meaning you work out and can leg press 300lbs+) and if they are built like the race skis, you should buy them. They won't disappoint in any regards. And you may even be able to make a few runs through the gates with these with respectable times - not saying you'd want to, but just the same.

These are cheapest you'll get them for in the US - in Switzerland they run about 300 CHF - more or less 275 USD.

Moral of the story: don't talk out of your ass - it just makes you look like a bigger one.

Nice - OK so we've got a pretty informative thread going on stockli and how great the company is and the skis but still no offers or interest.  Bump - these are still available, and fyi although the snakes rip all mtn., they are not race ski stiff at all (plus they are only 170).  They are very forgiving - if you're thinking about buying a PE in a similar length, these will blow them out of the water.  Open to offers - let's hear em.
