Help with computer file converting

i need help making some .avi files i have into mp3 or mp4 watever works for itunes what would be a good program to do this with?

download the program winavi video converter..... search it on goggle...there an option for psp or ipod or other hand held so if you have an ipod it does ipod format and can put it directly on you ipod with a single click, and its the fastest one i have tried

yeah jodix ipod converter works too. type it in on google, its free.
