Just checked in on the old thread, thanks for the input. I hear you guys on the "more rails" side of things, one thing I struggle with here is that $$$ for rails/boxes doesn't get released to me untill November and I have a tough time getting the older features cleaned and painted and building new ones at the same time and then winter hit us fast and hard! On the bright side, for next season I have a good bit of the summer to work on rail/boxes so I can be ready for the season. I'll pull out my rail designs and try to get a good balance of rails vs. boxes to keep ya'll happy.
North Slope is due for a bit of a rebuild in the next week or so, I don't plan on changing the design too much, but beef up the jumps now that most users are comfortable at this point in the season. I am going to get the takeoffs wider and longer but still keep some smaller options for the little guys out there.
1/2 pipe is looking good, the new Zaugg cutter is freakin awesome and leaves a sweet finish, I'll be cutting every other day or if it fills up with snow, the days could be different from week to week.
Main St park is still in the process of snowmaking, it may take a little time due to the massive width of the trail (not that it's that wide but it's the widest trail we have). I'm taking the motto "Quality over quanity" to heart, if I can't maintain it well, then I'm not going to over build it, I only have one snowcat to take care of all parks and pipe but that doesn't mean I can't add to it if things go well. I'm looking towards 5-6 rails/boxes and 2-3 jumps, being it's first season, I'll see how it plays out, I think I may have a 2nd cat for next season.
Keep thoes comments comming, I'll be checking in as I can, work is always busy but I like that you guys and gals have a venue to voice your opinion and it can and will have an influence on what happens out there. Peace!
