I never used to listen to the radio, because I couldn't stand the music on it, but now I do...has anyone else gone through that phase? Is it just me getting older and more tolerable?
i listen to NPR occasionally- usually in the morning, when they play classical. otherwise, only if im in a car where theres no ipod or cds. and then its usually classic rock. or the oldies. im actually a big fan of oldies.
When I go for long trips (longer than 30 min), i bring my ipod and put my whole fm transmission setup, but otherwise i always listen to the radio (tho i dont drive that often)
It sucks, you always have to cruise through 1000 channels before finding a good song.
in my environment it seems that digital music has been taking place over the radio which is too bad because the other day i was listening to the radio in the ca and some song came on that i wouldnt have thought of to listen to otherwise and it felt so good in that moment. Without the radio it never would have happened. Digital music takes away the random learn to like chance moments like this. also, the album artwork is given little to no consideration without a hard copy to fully appreciate it. but in an answer to your question yes i feel like i have grown to like certain stations over time
ive always thought it would be sweet if you could record from the radio in your car. say yer cruising along and you hear a song you havent heard in ages, you just hit record (it could be a cassette tape, but these days it would be something digital) and voila! you have the song
Fuck the radio, Only station I listen to is rock or Oldies but it gets old fast. Its always the same music over and over and over and don't even get me started on easy listening stations that just play whiney crap and over all bad music.
