Is Call Of Duty 4 any good? I'm looking for a solid multiplayer game. I'm torn between CoD or Gears of War which i absolutely love for Xbox 360, but I'd like to try it online for the PC.
Anyone have personal experience with either of these games?

its not multiplayer, but SKATE is an awesome game, i highly reccomend it.

COD4's multiplayer is fucking unreal. I didn't like it at first and only played it because my friends were, but in truth its 100x better than Halo 3. Really really good. It grew on me. A lot.

don't get gow for pc -- not really worth it if you played the 360 version.  i havn't played cod but the best pc fps by far is half life 2 -- amazing single player, and can't go wrong with steam mulit player

What do ya' take me for! Of course I already have HL2 and all the games that come with it. I'm just looking for a change of pace. And although it isn't multiplayer I was thinking Bioshock could be fun too.

Better to rent than to buy, no lasting appeal whatsoever. Trust me. COD4 has an amazing campaign, then you go play multi and... thats over 150 hours of appeal, should you ever lay down that much time.

Well since your on a PC: Crysis > COD4 > Halo 3. I honestly haven't played Crysis but from what I've seen it's amazing (and no I'm not just talking about the graphics). But since I'm assuming you may not be able to run it definitely go for COD4; best shooter I've played, Halo has NOTHING on it.

Yeah I upgraded my gaming rig and the Crysis demo was incredible. I think I'll pick up CoD4, it's still like the highest rated game for PC this year with a decent multi-player.

i've played both games on both pc and 360, and call of duty on pc was amazing, its a whole different came when you use the mouse to aim instead of a joystick, but its also fun as hell on 360, and its so fun to play online with the ranking systems.

Crysis will cripple your desktop unless you've got mad $$ invested in it. Bio shock is suppose to be really good.
