Alright, THis is for people who know a good deal about computers. I have this virus on here that i cant get rid of and I have some questions. Fisr of all the virus deleted the conrtol panel and is creating restrictions on a lot of basic stuff. Its a dell inspiron E1705(and I dont need any shit about it being a Dell, I ask for anything but a Dell but....I got a Dell for college about 1.5 years ago.)
If i format the c drive does that get rid of everthing including the operating system (XP)? Will that even get rid of the Virus?
I might have to bring it to this computer place i know, they might fix it. But I was wondering if any of you knew anything I could try. Im not worried about loosing information, i backed what i wanted up on a CD but can I just reset the compter with the factory defaults so its like brand new? I have been wanting to get a new hard drive what was bigger than this one but I want to wait and use this one while it "works". THANKS
