Broken finger

hi i broke my ring finger washing out on a jump. i wear dakine mustangs. are there safer/ more padded protective gloves or mittens i can wear for the time being while my fingers broken?

park gloves, i donno if the ones you have are, but you can get park gloves that have padding.  but i dont think that will substantially reduce the risk against breakage.

Honestly I doubt gloves will prevent broken fingers, it all depends on how hard you fall and in what direction. I've been told to make a fist if you fall with your hands in front of you and not try to cushion the fall because that can be instant breakage.

i broke my thumb today and it hurts
i think your best bet would be to use a racer glove because they are made for hitting gates

theres a few pairs of race gloves that have carbon fiber padding around the knuckles, and on the thumbs. you can smack a tree adn it doesnt hurt. they are decently comfy to. i think reusch makes a pair ?

dont get dakine cobras i broke my thumb in them. but i wouldnt reallly say gloves is the problem just think about where ur fingers will be and get them in a habit of not hitting the ground funny

oh i know not to fall awkwardly. it happened, im moving on. i just need to know what kind of glove or stuff i should wear WHILE my finger is broken. keep in mind i have a splint and possibly a light cast.

Some soccer goalie gloves. The good ones have like plastic backing behind the finger to prevent it from being bent backwards

pretty sure you'd be really uncomfortable in soccer goalie gloves if it got too cold.

just get a small splint that fits under your glove. They make some tight little plastic ones that fit all the way around you finger that ive used with success. But usually only like sports doctors have them.

my pinkie finger is about the size of my thumb at the top, it hurts like hell but i just stuff my glove over it and im good to go.
