OK so i bought my skis at the beginning of last year, and i noticed that when it came time to take them off and stand on the back part the ski came off but the brakes would stay and not pop out. This wasn't to big of an issue because if i bailed on a jump usually the brakes would pop out. This year now whenever i bail on a jump or whatever(land awkwardly) my ski pops off fine(no problem there) but my brakes don't pop to stop the ski from sliding. This hadn't been a big issue as there aren't to many jumps yet so mostly just flat areas, but this past week i was skiing blue and i hit a rail and my one ski popped off as it should have but the brakes did not pop out to stop the ski, and it slide half way down the hill, the ski was fine, just one piece of the metal break is slightly bent. So i just have to push it up onto the top of my ski with going into my bindings. I am thinking i can just bend it back to its original place. But what do you guys think about chilzzling the rubber part of the break off so it can pop out better. Any other suggestions and help are greatly appreciated, thanks NS'ers.
