I need a bit of jumping help

I know the key to a good landing is popping off the lip properly. I try to pop how I think I should and it doesn't really work very well. I come up to the jump center on my skis and then do what I think is popping. It's hard to explain though. Everytime I land forwards from a 3, I land backseat. Not sitting down back seat, just back tips first then the rest of the ski. Because of this I like doing 1's and 5's a lot more now because I don't get shin bang from them. I want to get better at my 3's though. How do I get a solid, center on the skis landing?

Go faster, pop later at the lip, lean forward more when you pop.
Or it could be the fact that you're spinning off-axis a bit to throw you in the backseat for a landing. Try overcompensating by throwing a little cork into your 3's. I tend to land in the backseat on any forward landing when it's steep enough, even off of rails and stuff. So I lean forward a lot more and people tell me that I'm not actually corked even though I think I am.
All in all, have some people watch you when you throw 3's. Try to get someone to film it. What you think you're doing in the air and what you're actually doing can be two separate things in some cases.

pop as hard as you can and dont rush the spin - if you do, its likely your spinning off the lip which will throw you off axis.
but its mainly in the pop-then-spin timing

definately get some video to see what youre actually doing in the air or at least get someone to watch you and just try to shift your weight forward when you land if its not there already

try and jump forward off the lip, not just up. make sure your hips are over your toes not your heels so you are in a balanced position. Next time your out, do a few straight airs, and when you pop, really try extending your body(I sometimes jump and put my hand over my head to make sure i get my hips forward and just for practice)

make sure your that your spotting w/ your head so your heads coming around first, that way when your about to land you can throw yourself more forward and come down w/ your tips first

You're probably leaning back in the air a bit. Do you land forwards sometime on your 5s, like hands down? Its probably a sign you are getting a bit off-axis. If you spin left try to drop your right shoulder just a bit. Try not to really wind up so much on the lip and just float the spin instead of hucking it. Might help.

I can imagine for better popping you have to swing your arms sort of half-circle starting near your ankles and ending by your shoulders, that would compensate properly. sorry if I sound confusing

dont pop just do a 3, and you will just pop more as you go. Yopu are trying to pop off your tails which makes you lean back. Just carve off.

pop off your toes. Don't think about leaning forwards, cause you don't
wanna lean, just put lots of pressure the front of your boot and pop
straight up, not back against the jump.
you also could just carve and float it without popping, but its not gonna solve anything once you do big tricks. I made that mistake and i had to spend along time relearning everything.

ahhh yes, thats what ive been trying to figure out lately
i noticed when i try to pop hard, i end up setting my spin too early and spinning right off the lip, which like you said makes me go off axis...which ends up in me eating shit every time

why don't you look at my videos "shitlick" or my photos. Ive 3d ninty foot gaps. Pop less and go faster, popping more will come with time; Its the best way to learn. and why don't you be a little less quick to judge?

i used to have that problem and i would concentrate on forcing your hands out in front of you. it helps you stay forward upon landing and keeps you from going backseat.
