yello, looking to upgrade my sled, anyone ridden an 04 summit x 800 with the 159 track? found a few that are in my price range, but dont know how they ride. specs look like they are the same weight as my sled(02 summit 800 151) but with the rev chassis, should be way easier to maneuver, and the longer track, way easier to climb right? haha somebody with experience help a brother out! also, if you want a dope older sled for cheaper, PM me
i didnt knwo where to put this thread sooooo mods u can put it wherever you want

Don't get the 159....it's just too big. You might be on very rare occasions be glad that you had it...but most of the time you are going to regret it. It's just too long for boondocking, too heavy for digging out. I have the 07 800 151 and really wish I had the 144. I'd say stick with the 151 at the biggest.
Leave those 160+ inch tracks to the rednecks with nitrous in colorado...

yea thats what i was thinking too, but the weight is actually a few pounds lighter then my sled right now. i just dont know if the hill climbing capabilities outnumber the maneuvering capabilities. thanks for the input mr.reedy

ian...heres the thing, long track yes...I had the M chassis 153 and now the 162 and there's no reason not to go longer...we live in utah and ride deep snow. On the rev's the 04's had ring problems. Check to make sure that the rings were updated and make sure you find out when, the recall wasn't long after the 04's came out. The running boards on the 04's are weaker than some of the others. 06 is considered by many to be the best year of the rev. If I was you I would consider riding your 03 for this season and even another, pass up the rev all together and then once all these hillbillies get the clutching kinks worked out on the xp's get one of those. And as for the RMK 900, that sled shouldn't even be in the same catagory as rev's and M-chassis. Stay far far away...

i got the rev 151" and I dont think I would go any bigger. Longer tracks are for hill climbing, and hill climbing is for retards who don't know about avalanches. Rev 151 can boondock real well, and if you have to, it can climb with the best of them. I would be a little cautious buying an 04-05', make sure they did the piston ring update, those things usually need a new top end at around 2-3000 miles.

c'mon don't tell me you don't like hill climbing at least a little bit ...
Cosco you do have a 151 though so that should be a pretty good indication of whether you want more track or not...
