Bulletproof Park Skis? AR6 durability question.

Was set to get some AR6 but these are rumoured to chip like crazy? Are these a tough ski? What would be tougher? I like a mid-flex ski for park skiing..

i have a pair of last years and they do indeed chip quite a bit, im not sure if this years are any better

They do chip, and they also have a major issue of the bindings NOT staying mounted in the ski. Know 4 people in the past like month who have had their bindings rip right out of the ski.

And armada is NOT being legit at all about warrantying them.

OMGGG they chip dont buy them!!!!!

they're really fine. my heel ripped out recently, but that's after almost 100 days of use.

i'd rather they didn't chip if there is an alternatives.. i just want a tough park ski.. i don't ski much rails mostly jumps and pipe..

yea i bought a pair of brand new last years ar6's, and rode them for the first time 2 days ago.. an donly for like 4 hours and they were chipped like mad, doesnt really bother me but they do chip

yeh man rmadas do chip like crazy and also tend to delm too, but hey are sick park skis ... if you want some more durabiliy maybe go for volkl or k2

i know that the chipping itself is superficial damage but lots of chipping is not a good indicator of durability..

They are good skis, but im not impressed with Armada by any means. I broke a pair of t-halls last season in under 3 months (all 4 tips delamed), and with 4 full days on my Ar6's, they are starting to delam as well. However, Armada is great with warranties, but I think ill try my luck with another company from now on.

yeah, mine have pieces of the top sheet tearing off completely after one day of skiing just groomers. but they are probobly some of the dopest skis I've ever been on but I don't plan on buying a pair again just because stuff like this is too much hassle

k2 stuff is bomber. i've ridden my silences down many a concrete staircase and they're still in better shape than most people's everyday park skis. my fujatives have seen almost a year's worth of on snow riding and besides a few chunks taken out of the top sheet from some bad bails, they're in great shape. the bases are hard and hold wax really well on all my skis, plus fujatives or silencers are both more than $100 less than ar6's.

Head is best for durability (Mojo 80 or whatever they call them now), followed by Volkl, in my opinion.

if you really dont want chippage, go with k2 or volkls.. but ive been on my ar6s for 5 full days now, and i only have 2 chips. and 3 of those days were all park... i hope my bindings dont tear out though

i love my ar6's from last year. only a couple of chips from the topsheet but thats about it. otherwise theyre in great condition. bases too and i do a shitload of rails

The top sheet chips alot. but other than that they hold up pretty well other than that.

i think i might get some Head Mojo Spawns.. they'll be pretty bullet cos they're head and wont chip much cos they're capped they also look alright.. anyone know whether core centre is at true centre on these.. i'm guessing its a little back buy dont know

chipping is deffinatly not representative of the skis durability, i have addicts they chip like crazy and have no other problems. but if u dont want the chipping u may want a capped ski.
