FireWire Help Please??

OK so i got a new camera and so on and I need to use firewire to upload blah blah blah..but i dont have a fire wire Port.like on my computer hardrive i dont have a spot where it fits.so the question is what do i do about this

Do i use the USB version of the firewire??

you can buy the card that has the firewire port built into it off of a site like newegg.com or even like dell if thats the type of computer you have. i dont think its very hard to install and they arent that expensive

weell how do they USB fire wire work and liek how does the chip work to get a firewire?

firewire is not usb and usb is not firewire.

well can you explain im new to the fire wire stuff but all i know is that you can buy a firewire but it has a usb prot insted of the werid looking one that my comp doesnt have

firewire is like a highspeed usb port.  it hasn't caught on as well obviously.  but just get a card from newegg, plug it into your pci slot, and you are pretty much set
