Are HD camcorders worth the extra $

i was thinking about getting either a samsung schmx10 or an scmx10.  Would it be worth the extra 400$ to go HD?

depends on who youre gonna show your videos to. i say no though, its not worth it. 400 bucks is a lot of money.
