Replying to review of Gywnne
Ok here is my honest review of H30's gywnne.
Skiing:
It was off the hook with east coast talent. but def a weird concept of location shots b/c you had to guess who everyone is. but def the skiing talent is there for east coast.
Editing:
The editing was decent for his first ski movie attempt. its not up there with poor boyz but then again he wasnt working on a 100,000 dollar budget so i say not so bad.
Music:
Could of been more original with the songs. 2 were from ski movies (de la soul f/ chaka khan'all good' - from happy dayz and Babe ruth's 'the mexican' from The Game) but everything else for music was orignal and different.
Random Anger:
The clips that were used during the beginning intro i felt shouldnt of been used again in the movie it felt repeatitive. and shots from locations were at the very same place every shot move around a lil bit different angles. and what is up with everyone and their grandmother throwing corks and dspins.. guys that was so last year get with the program and throw some switch tricks like liam and chrichton demonstrate.and the vail segment felt repeatitive as well with the same rails over and over.
Praise:
Sick ass representation of the east coast. finally someone documents real east coast skiers *cough* berman *cough* not that im saying berman doesnt make sick movies he just not concentrating on as much east coast events as was in gywnne. i like to see that kinda stuff happening.
Overall:
i give it a 3.5 out of 5.. anthony next year man the level will be stepped up for your riders and jopefully produce an even sicker movie.
