What do you guys HONESTLY will happen to Iraq when we're so-called 'done,' with what, im not sure, but yeah. Do you think they will adopt democracy to a land which, for the past 10,000 years, yes 10k, has never seen democracy? Iraq and its surroundings are where 'civilized' life started a long ass time before any of you were born. Would you welcome a Republic or Dictatorship here in the US if someone came in and invaded and told you to? How effective will democracy, womens' rights, and 'freedom' be, how long will the fakeness of it last? You can't just expect people to say 'oh hell yes, finally a democracy' because they have never heard of such a thing. Granted, the US or anyone had never heard of it when we became the first democracy since an era of Roman occupation of Europe, but we took over a hundred years to begin to give people, especially women, some kind of rights, and it wasn't until 40 years ago that african-americans gained equal rights.
Here is my second question/topic:
Do you really think the propagandic information that the US citizens get about Sadaam's 'cruel ways of punishment' are true? Do you really think he killed people for no reason? IF he did, then wouldn't the Iraqi people be happy to see us 'liberate' them? Wouldn't they have tried some type of rebellion while he was in office? My view is that, we're still killing people, hell our president lead the state with the most capital punishment killings in the US. In World War II, we took millions of Japenese decendants and immigrants and threw them in camps in the middle of fucking no where, like Manzanar. We took all their stuff, and gave them very little food, and no extra clothing. Many died, many killed themselves, many were killed by US soldiers. Now these people were US citizens, and did nothing but live freely in the US.
We dropped a device on Nagasaki, and another on Hiroshima, bot Japanese cities that had no military importance. The reason for the chosing of those two targets were that they had large numbers of people living there. You cannot say that we have progressed at all from then, because just 12 years ago we killed 130,000 women and children in less that 2 months. How was this justified? 'Preemptive Defense' - or as many call it an 'Aggressive Defense.' None of these numbers are public information if you ask the government, but you can see for yourself the harsh realities that your government, of the United States of America, is a lying, corrupt and sleazy government. They never told the American people during the time of World War II that they had killed 100s of 1000s of innocent Japanese women, children, and men, of course not.
So ask yourself if you trust what your government tells you is fact.
