Lake Tahoe

Im going to Lake Tahoe over February Break with my dad, my friend and his dad. I think we will be skiing 4 or 5 days. My dad wanted to know what mountains i wanted to go to and i know he wants to go to heavenly at least one day and i want to go to northstar at least one day, so give me some advice on where we should go. Thanks for helping an EC kid out

If the snow isn't too hot and all you want to do is lap the park. go to boreal
If the snow is good, DO NOT GO TO NORTHSTAR. Go to Squaw.
If you want some qualit parks then go to northstar.
Send your parents to diamond peak, it's quiet there.
Alpine meadows has some pretty huge hits compared to surrounding hills...

Stay in Incline Village and go to a different place each day.  put the ones you aren't decided on in a hat and draw.  They all are good.

if there is good snow the best you can get is squaw....kirkwood also has good snow but it is a little bit further from tahoe.

all depends where you are going. and heavenly is well over an hour away from northstar.
to be honest, i dont reccomend either.
heavenly gets suppperrr icey and its just like you have to take like 4 lifts to get the their park and its kinda a pain. i dont find it very fun on pow days either. if your in south lake go to Sierra and Kirkwood.
Squaw could be fun to try it. Its a HUGE mountain. if you just wanna hit park for some reason, northstar isnt bad, but ONLY if its a weekday and non holiday. Their jumps suck though.
Alpine is super fun on pow days if you know where to go, and by feb you can expect then to have a booter thats at least 70 feet, well maybe not by then. thats another super fun place. Just the new management is gay so find a student id so you dont have to pay 60 bucks for the most overpriced lift ticket. Dont ask why its so much 2 years ago they were 39 for adults.
idk youll prolly have fun wherever you go, so dont sweat it.

>Squaw - I mean u gotta drop by there KT22 is always a blast and if ur dad lives in the past like mine hell like the history of the olympics and stuff
>Heavenly - Its just great all around skiing, not to mention the best BC skiing
>Sierra - that new back bowl is tons of fun
Then its what ever you like best after that, but all thoes places are a good distance apart and you didnt say where ur staying North or south side.

dont stay in incline.  its way too expensive and theres like nothing to do there, trust me, i grew up there.  stay in reno or truckee, its cheaper and there is way more stuff to do after skiing.  you should ski boreal or nothstar for park, alpine for jumps, squaw for epic skiing, and heavenly if you want a decent park and a lot of groomers

What ever you do, do not go to northstar.  If you do end up there, just sit in a lawn chair, drink a 40 and people watch.  Watching people there and seeing the complete incompetence of the park crew always brings  a smile to my face.  The Nstar microcosm personifies what is wrong with skiing.

Good thats closer to most places it just makes squaw like about an hour drive but all the other resorts are closer.

Add Boreal to that (if you like to only ride park and cheaper lift tix). Don't go to Kirkwood to ride park. Squaw for pow days, and Alpine for a little bit of everything (they have some big kickers up already, 40-50 footers)

northstar is a joke. go ride smoke a bowl or b real. evrything else is years behind. alpine is good tho

Heavenly has two parks open as of not a will have a third and fourth very soon. The park is way more legit than in years past and they have a ton of wide open groomers.

If there is any sort of new snow Kirkwood is 30-45 minutes out of South lake and is well worth the drive.

Sierra always has a sick park and ok terrain.

As far as North shore goes Alpine is good for everything Boreal for park and Squaw is SICK but their prices are as steeper than the slopes.

Dont waist your money going to Northstar.

But for South lake your best bet is to go to Kirkwood on the weekend and Heavenly mid-week. Thats what I do all winter.

I HATEEE INCLINE! AHH soo boring. stay in southlake, truckee, or reno.
and if you want backcountry skiing go to alpine or kirkwood.
