Anyone know how to jailbreak an Ipod Touch?

Just went out and picked up a 16GB Ipod Touch, and was wondering if anyone here has jailbroke one to get all the applications.  Thanks hopefully someone here has the experience, or can point me in the right direction

Well thanks for the outstanding sarcasm, but I might not have made myself clear...so to clarify I am looking for someone with personal experience.  There seems to be alot of options, and not being the most technically savvy person, I am not looking to trash 400.  So has anyone out there actually done one of these installers....how'd it work?

Go to www.jailbreakme.com Click the link that jailbreaks. It installs installer.app which lets you put more 3rd party applications on your iPod. I haven't done it before but thats what I told my friend to do and it worked for him.

me and my friend broke one at school, so id say it is pretty easy....make sure you read all you tuts. online and follow one while doing it, but it well worth it, sooooo many sick apps

people who bought there phones unlocked or bought them and then unlocked them themselves. Then apple put out a new firmware( basically and update that patches bugs) but for phones that were unlocked( rather hacked) they made them useless. Apple did this on purpose to get back at all the people that hacked or unlocked their iphones so they would not be locked down to At&T or anyone in Canada that wanted to use one here cause AT&T doesn't have service here

^ after the phone became unusable due to apple's firmware update...this is the software to un-brick( as apples firmware update "bricked" the iPhone unusable) the iPhone

If you haven't figured it out yet, I can help.  If you have version 1.1.2 then you first have to downgrade to 1.1.1. jailbreak it, and then install "oktoprep."  Once you have that installed you can upgrade safely to 1.1.2 and then jailbreak from 1.1.2.

I just jailbroke my ipod touch 16gb. The process is so much simpler than it used to be. Run the program you download off this website. ( http://blackra1n.com/ ), and it will jailbreak for you.

It works for 3rd gen as long as u don't turn it off and if u do u just have to plug it in and run blackra1n again Works fine for me
