How bad is this/anythign I can do to fix it?

I have last year's Invader minis, and while I was detuning my edges (Ski shop sharpened them even though I told them not to) I noticed some damage under the heelpiee of my binding,  There's some cracks in the laminate topsheet, exposing some hard black material underneath that feels like sandpaper.  I also noticed my edge is bent up and out a little bit.  Here's some pics:

Is this a bad problem?  Either way, would some epoxy fill the cracks and keep water out pretty well?  Thanks.

yea that really sucks. if you can see the binding screw in the black part then thats really bad, but if you cant it epoxyable.

I can't see any part of a screw, and the binding doesn't budge, so I'll give epoxy a try. This same thing happened in the same place but a little worse on my chronic minis last year, and LINE gave me credit for them, that's when I got these. If I make it through the rest of the yar with some epoxy, I wonder if I could do the same thing at the end of the season. These things are getting real small on me anyways.

yah id try to make it through the year cause if the binding doesnt budge dont think that it matter to much

its not a big deal. the "black stuff" is the polyurethane foam core. with wood cores, youd REALLY wanna make sure they stayed protected, as it could potentially soften the core. on these guys however, all you are reallly doing is keeping water from freezing and delaming it more. but yea, its a pretty low end ski, and your obviously getting past its performance limits. time for a better ski.

Yay! good news, thanks. About urbans, not much around here in the way of that, but these will be good to go and beat up on our backyard setup box/rail to keep whatever I get at the end of the season in good condition. I've outgrown them anyways. Thanks.

Take them to your shop. I'd take the heelpiece off, fill the space with epoxy, sand it off and put the binding back on.

Bro, ur top sheet looks like its coming off the base, doesn't look to healthy, almost positive epoxy wont fix that, best bet, try and send them back to manufacture and see what they say!

I don't see how this is the shop's fault at all.  To me it looks like he compressed an edge (probably from a rail or a rock), and it cracked the sidewall.  That couldn't happen in a shop unless they took a hammer to his edge or something.  It shouldn't be a big deal considering you wanted your edges detuned anyway, I'd just patch it up and keep riding.

Ever since K2 took over Line, Lines overall quality hasn't been that good, my buddy had a similar problem on his prophets on the top sheet "peeling" or "chipping" if you will. i'm noticing this happen on my prophets too. I'd take it into your shop and have them epoxy it.

i cant count the amount of time i can see the core throuhg the topsheet on ym invaders...just makes em flexier and uglier.
