I'm getting some AR6s and some K2 Seths (broke both my pairs last year) in January but am trying to decide between the 166 and 171 in the AR6... I will mount them centre but use them in bumps as well as park..I'm 5'8 and about 125 pounds so pretty skinny.. Which do you think? I'm tending to the 166 because they look better.. With the Seths i'm choosing between 169 (mid forehead as k2 come up long) and the 179... these will be my everyday backcountry ski but also will occasionally see some piste skiing..

seths ski short (im 6 1 and got last years 179's, should have gone for the 189's for sure), i'd go for the 179's and the 166 ar6's
you'll have a sweet quiver then.

179 K2 is actually about 184 by normal measurement.. that seems like a long ski for someone who weighs 125 and wants to pull some short turns in trees on occasion.. i'm thinking 166 AR6 and 169 seth again but i can probably demo both seths..

i ride a 169 pe and it measures closer to 174.

I have no idea why someone who was 5'9 would ride 181 park skis but I definitely won't be riding 181.. i think 166 is probably fine at my weight for the AR6.. the Seth's i think probably the 169 but i could try the 179 and see how they feel..

Its really all personal preference. You sound like youve made up your mind tho on the Ar6s. If you want 166 then get the 166. I feel that if your going to centermount them and use them as your park ski, get the 176 or 171, but thats just me. As for the seths, thats a tough one. Seems like your right on the cusp.

yeah i'm decided on the AR6 to get 166 because i like to ski a little on the short side.. with the Seths i think i'm right in between 169 and 179.. 175 would be ideal... is there another ski at about 175 similar to seths? would you go a little long or a little short?

okay for the AR6s if they are eye level on the 166s get those and don't mount them center mount them 1cm or more back all of armada's pros do and trust me i ride AR6s and they ride fine switch when they aren't center and mounting them over the actual true part of the ski they work better on rails since you are over the balance point. For the seths go with the 179s cause for pow you want something the top of your head height or just over.
