Advice On A Dope Deal

My friend is either getting last years Mad Trix without bindings and without the 'Mad Trix System' (the binding flipper thing) or he's getting 01/02 Mad Trix with bindings and with the 'Mad Trix System'. Both of the deals are for the same price, $199 cdn. The things is that my friend dosn't want the 'Mad Trix System' because it adds alot of weight plus I hear that it's super cheap and snaps easy. So if he buys the older ones with bidings & the system he wants to take the system off. Will this totally weaken and fuck the ski over with the screw holes from the 'system' and having to mount the bindings in around the same place? Which deal should he go for? I know this is supposed to go in Equipment Forum, but who goes in there?

Skis that have been drilled once before won't be noticeably weaker. Especially the MadTrix with its wood core.

get the system and take that shit off...theres a reason why they axed the system...they will be FINE once you take the system skrews out...they arent even close to the binding holes...by the way im selling '04 matrix with team binding for $400 shipped...yes thats right folks, look like the pro with next years shit for only $400. bindings are 10-18 DINs...only used one day durring the WSI. You can view the skis in this months skier magazine on page 103...wordimout
