Digital camera

ok so my parents r buying me a digital camera 4 x mas and i get 2 choose it but idk wich brand is the best i mainly want it 4 skiing so i need a small one but ya idk anything about cameras...help??

In this case I'd just suggest going to the Sony, Olympus, Canon, and Nikon sites and just scrolling around to see what's in your price range and what you like.. Most probably they all have some sort of basic point and shoot and then a better made one, which would be good for skiing, then some higher end ones...
