Dont steal!

especially when you will see the person skiing almost everyday..and decide to wear the shit in forn tof them!

any idea on what to do, i need ADVICE

late last season i got a pair of expensive goggles stolen from the table i was sitting at. Stupid me decided to trust the other 15 people in the lodge and left my stuff to grab some food a few steps away. I come back to see me and my friends goggles r gone. Just the other day these kids who were ironicly 2 of the 15 people present the day the goggles were stolen, and in the lodge, well they BOTH decide to wear ME and my FRIENDS GOGGLES that they had STOLEN last year. So what do i do. TAKE THEM BACK. AND what do you know..there is a scratch identical to the pair i had previously had in my possesion.

After making a large scene an older ski instroctor ends up taking them from me and i agree for him to hold on to them in the mean time. Wel it ends he he gave them back to the kid.

ANY idea on what i should do besides..kick his ass.

I have a receipt...

Threaten him with a ski pole and get it back. Other than that, there's nothign you can do man. Unless you had your name or some graphic printed on it, theres no proof.

yeah..the problem is

A. i work at the ski area teatching younger kids

B. Its a very small ski area with a semi tight knit community (everyone knows everyone in some way)

C. they are sketchy, skeezy kids who would prob stab me

get a bunch of your real friends and get in his face with everyone telling him to give them back to you, he will be so scared he will probably piss himself and give them back.  thats if you do not want to kick his ass like you said.  and i hate people how steal also, i got my wallet stolen last year and was so fucking pissed, i know how you feel.

^^Yeah just give them the ol' knockout punch. In order to knock somebody out, you must get a perfect hit on the jaw, which will give them a pretty good concussion, which is by definition, a temporary impairment of neural functions. Then you can take advantage of the impairment and grab your goggs and get the F out of there.

If its a tight-nit ski community then get the word about that so and so stole your googles and that they are pieces of shit.  If enough people realize this and you get your story out then maybe you will have a big enough group of people to go teach some fucking pieces of scum a lesson.

sketchy kids steal goggles even though its a small hill so just dont leave shit out
make sure there actually yours tho cause last year some kid and his friends took goggles from this one kid they thought had stolen them from him
turned out the kid had bought them himself
but if your positive there yours just like get some friends and go shove the kid around and take em back
or hit him in the head with your poles and stomp on him with your ski boots

I remember a very similar thing happening to me in 7th grade, and the kid wore the goggles like a couple weeks after he stole them (i think he was in 9th grade or something?) and i straight up walked up to him and said "give me my goggles back" and hes like "what are you talking about" and i just grabbed them and walked away and he then in turn grabbed me and started all this shit and it was like me vs 6 other 9th grade kids so i gave them back because i woulda been fucked. I mean if someone steals something they might as well sell it or no wear it where you are.

honestly, beat the fuck out of that instructor then beat the fuck oput of those kids and ill help. if like you said everyone knows everyone in some way in that tight knit community, maybe that wasnt an insturctor or just those kids' friend...

all in all get your goggs back and show them not to touch your shit again.

carry a cable lock with you or something. and when they lay their shit on the ski racks lock it all up and wait. when they return tell them they arent getting it unlocked til you both get your goggles back.

do you have any pictures of you wearing the goggles.  I mean it wouldent proove anything but if you tried to take them when he wasent looking at least you would have somthing to back up your story.  and tell them that same scratch was their.  I dont no though that would probly end up it a fight and that would not be good. you could talk to ski patrol or somthing.

oh and i feel your pain i recently had my ipod and scooter stolen.  the scooter wasent a big deal because it was a raser scooter i never used (dosent give them permission though), but i did use my ipod ALOT!  I hate theives!

IF I WAS Positive that they were my goggles i would ask the guy who had them how much they cost to find out if he bought them from the guy who stole them or if he was the person who stole them. And if he stole them then just make like your not going to do anything so that he lets his guard down, then punch him in the face as hard as you can. Or if theyre bigger than you get your older brother to take care of it or your baddest ass friends

this reminds me of a story this old asian guy told me on the train once. His bike kept getting stolen in the city, and one time he saw the guy riding his bike around and called the cops. The cops took the bike away from both of them and released it to the thief deciding that it was his because possession is 9/10ths of the law.

So ya, basically you're kinda screwed legally. I like the idea of smashing them. Also wouldn't hurt to like steal his poles or something. Don't get mad, get even fool!

same thing pretty much happened to my bud, best thing to do is take them back quickly without making a scene, and have the receipt on you. once you have the goggles in your pocession make a HUGE scene if they confront you.


or if they have anything to lose at the resort(jobs, family who works there), bring upper management into the mess.

$500 - you are crazy.  It is no where near that much money for a plate.  I just had to get new plates for my truck and it cost me $57.

Also you get caught stealing license plates and you will at least get probation...Not at all worth it over goggles....

keep your chin tucked to your chest, punch threw the target, and remember elbows elbows elbows.  Double leg takedowns work nice to set up elbows.  If it is your shit sack up and get it back.  If you dont want to do it at the mountain do it away from there.  If they did take em and you do nothing they will continue to steal from you.  Also hit face not head you dont need to break a knuckle over this.
