Where am I?

I find it somewhat odd, now with the splash page gone and all (not that it even says newschoolers anymore), that nowhere on the front page does it tell me where I am. I know I am on newschoolers.com, I've been here for many, many years, however theres no indication other than the URL that I'm actually visiting Newschoolers.com. Take pride in your website people. Newschoolers.com has the potential to be the biggest thing in skiing. You cant expect this to become a household name without advertising the name itself.

Just opening the homepage for Powder, TGR, Freeskier and Transworld, as examples - the name of the site is really clear and out there..

I think there should definitely be some clear signage on the main page in the top left corner

Well, aren't you guys trying to get as much traffic through the site as you could? Wasn't that the reason for no splash page?

Yes, definitely. It clearly needs to be addressed. I think joke may have been implying that it SO obviously needs to be addressed that he would make a joke about it.

The homepage NEEDS to say Newschoolers.com on it damnit!

Once you're on the site I don't think there's much point in wasting space with a big Newschoolers just for the sake of it. The name of the site is located in the URL, in the title of the browser and/or the tab listing so it's not as if we're trying to hide the fact that a user is on the site.

I see the point about advertising the name itself, but once someone is on the site that battle is over.

Why put your logo on anything? Are you saying once someone has bought a Nike shirt they don't need the logo because they have already made the purchase? Sure websites are a little different, but just think of all the people you could drive to your site who simply walk by someone on this site, are curious, and then go there on their browser.

There is a reason every major company has their logo on their website, and they can make the same arguement, 'well the visitor already found my site, who needs a logo' . Its branding.

I mean maybe even just the NS logo (the one thats on the die-cut stickers) up in the left hand corner or something. It just feels weird. Maybe its just me.
