yeah cause i have heard that they start off great quality, then they either the speakers blow or something else goes wrong with them after liek a few months.
I've got a pair of smoking buds and they are absolutely horrible.
You need two hands to put them in correctly (how to put in disposable ear plugs)
Any slight tug on the cord pulls them out
Any contact with the cord or bud muffles the sound
Sound quality is sub-par.
ive got the skullcrushers, and i love em. they are loud, sound quality seems good to me, and they have excellent noise cancelation. i use em in the sumer at work, driving a tractor, so i know this to be true.
theyr not that great of a headphone for the amount of money you pay for em, but they do cater to skiing and thats cool to support em, iv found better headphones for cheaper...
You dont get skull candy headphones for the quality. Its more of a fashion statement and a set that you can take skiing more than anything. If you want to get a headphone that has great sound quality get the bose triport OE. I would never take them skiing obviously, but they are some of the best sounding headphones I have ever put on. I have had them for about 4 months now and I love them.
ive got a pair of smokin buds, and icons.
I use the buds when not skiing, they're great. decent sound quality, and block out alot of noise.
The icons are ok, better while skiing over ur hat with goggles over the top makes the sound a little better.
so i say yes, get some
those are pretty much the exact same as the lowriders except without all the flashy paint and wannabe grafiti logo all over em.
yea i have a pair kinda like that and they work really good.
i actually took my old pair of lowriders and broke the part that sits over your head off and then broke it to where its just the two actual headphone pieces and then i velcro'd those into my full face cuz i couldn't find a suitable headphone that would work/fir in the ear cavity.
i must say its pretty dope. they still work exactly the same and now they wont get broken!!
i have the TI and there decent. sound is okay but for 35 dollars(had a gift card so got em for 17) i couldnt really as for much more. plus they look cool. just hope the speakers dont blow.
mine broke the first time i took the to the hill. put them in a cup holder and when i get to the hill they are busted, still work but busted. didn't even put a cup on them and they broke. hopefully the good warranty program they got is still amazing.
I had skullcrushers, and those were pointless. But right now I have the recruit headphones, just the normal over ear one, and it's sick. It was, 20 bucks I think, It has a decent sound range, and I found that they have pretty good durability too... I haven't sat on them or anything, but I don't "take care" of them and they still work and look like the day I got them. Last night it was all covered in snow after a fall in a little powder, and the melted snow (multiple times) has done nothing to the speakers.
recruits/icons/low riders are perfect for skiing, cheap, like 20 bucks and look nice. i use my crushers while skiing alone, got them for 40, i use them for gaming sometimes too, they are great for that. everyone says they are shit and only for fashion, but they look, feel and sound dope while riding. i dont know any other brand that makes a headphone for action sports, and the warentee is amazing
I have the full metal jackets and they are excellent. they're durable (which also gets upped by the metal casing), and great sound quality. the one thing I don't like about them is that the little ear cups fall out easier than I would like them to.
The durability is crap, the sound quality is crap. And for those of you raving about their warranty, try actually getting a response when you want to warranty something. I had 2 pairs of smokin' buds fail and they wouldn't reply to my warranty claim. My friend's TI's failed after 2 weeks and he couldn't get a reply either.
i warrantied a pair of smokin buds a while ago and they replied to my email within 12 hours...pretty fast if you ask me. it took about 3 week's from the time i mailed mine to the time i got them back with a new pair. and i asked for a different colour so now i have rasta ones instead of white ones...
I bought the smokin' buds for $9.99, the sound is decent but they don't stay in your ears worth shit. So unless you're wearing a beanie (or a helmet) then you're going to be messing with them all day.
i just got some hesh's and they sound good to me and i think they look sweet, i cant tell the difference between one headphone and another anyways its so minute that almost no one can, skullcandy supports skiing so i supported them in my search for new headphones
if you want bass get the sennheiser hd212 pros. they have the second most bass of any headphone apart from the beyerdynamic dt770 pro/80, but those are $150
was wtih a girl that had some and shelet me try them on. they sound awesome, but when she was taking them out in the liftline one of the rubber caps fell off into the snow and was lost. ghey
