Haha tipstand?  If anything call them tip rolls or something... thats what glen plake called it in an older warren miller film...

But come on guys... tipstand?

Although, Ive started calling it a nosepick if you stall on the side of a run or something...

tipstand and tip roll are two completely seperate tricks...
and why call it a nosepick when you are not on a bike and it is already called a tipstand?

a tipstand is when u just balance on ur tips in the lift line and look like ur the shit....a butter is when u spin off ur tips or tails whilst on the ground (bad explanation) and look even more like the shit. completely different. If ur tipstanding in the lift line and yelling "look at me im buttering!" then u are wat some call, shit.

i usually just associate the two together, cause if your doing tip stands then you're usually doing butters also

but i do realize theres a difference between straight up chillen on the tips of your skis than say buttering a 3

does a butter have to have a spin included? I can lean way forward, but not completely onto the tips like a tip stand or whatever you want to call it, and then pop off of the tips forward. I haven't tried spinning yet but I will next week.
