yeah i learned about this in anthropology. These services arent as accurate as you may think they are. They only trace down people who have similar DNA to you, it doesnt mean that they are related to you in any way. In highschool we did cheek swabs for dna and put them on a world database, and i was traced to a black person in africa. Its really difficult to find relatives successfully through these.

yeah its not a finely tuned technology. in my anthro class the prof mentioned how oprah winfrey did this and the results said she was descended from Zulus and she was all stoked to be a zulu, then did it a second time and the results came out totally different.
