I can:
Yes, the 4FRNTS are stiff, however that has nothing to do with being hard to control. They are able to be ridden on anything, this way. Ride them on hardpack, powder, BC kickers, etc. The stiffness just adds to the fact that they are such a stable ski.

my guess is this shop guy might not be able to ski off the groomers...

4frnts are such a good ski... that guy is just some up tight punk who wants to sell you the more expensive ski... 4frnts are stiff... but that doesnt make them worse then anything else... theyre sweet for all mountain stuff, sooper strong on the rails, and work well on the jumps too.... soo good

some people like a stiffer ski some people like a softer ski it's not a big deal. The guy at the shop obviously likes a softer ski. And actually what he said was right, a harder ski takes more effort to move.

They are one of the stiffest skis I've ever skied on but like others have said, some people like that. I found the skis very stable but they were pretty hard to control in icy conditions (although I was told it was just the tune on the ski at the time).

If anything, i find stiff skis easier to control. In crud they destroy anything in their path, and on groomers, they don't flop at high speeds. The shop guy was probably just intimidated by their awesomeness.
