Replying to Bruised sternum?

I got in a fight and got slammed against a wall.  now my sternum has been hurting really bad right over my heart for the last 2 weeks.  it started feeling a little bit better but now its gone back to being bad again.  it hurts whenever i breathe.

I think I have bruised ribs or something.  i decided to ask dr. NS, anyone know what this is?  should I go to the dr. if it doesnt get better?  doesnt seem like they can do anything, but im getting a little tired of this.
