Backyard Setup....

So this past weekend we decided to get our backyard setup going. We had some of the materials, and the tools... and we had the time. So this is what we've come up with so far!

This is what our drop in looks like... it's big! I think it is 10.5' or so. And it's nice and steep.

So later on that night, we decided to build a little jump and have our first session... everything turned out pretty good.

So we plan to build another drop in, about half the size and off to the side of the yard abit. And then we'll get our rail and box set up. I'm pretty happy with this in my backyard... even though I live right at the bottom of my resort!

Dude that is sick. I'd like to get something like that in my yard so I can practice at home. I plan on making a lot of improvement this year.

sick, im working on mine right now, ive got a 10 foot tall tombstone2 by 4 stickin out of the ground, i will post pics when its done and i start seshin it.

Nice all you need now is a light and a snow gun. No but really the light is a good Idea. If you have a lot of money you could build/buy one

Lights are all set up now... We put some spot lights on the side deck, shining down from above. They light up the whole yard. It's awesome! Rails probably won't go in until after this weekend. We are having a huge christmas party this weekend, so that is taking up most of our time this week. But we wanted to make sure the drop in and a little jump was good to go, for people to ride.

nice setup!!

for everyone buiding one I made one that is about 7' high and it is a little to small I think you need to go at least 10'...good work my man!

nice work but.... ive gotcha beat.   but mine took me all summer to make.

ive got all 3000 watts of lights up and everything set up with snow  and hittable.. I also added a barrel bonk!

Just checked yours out... props on that man! Looks like you put a lot of hard work into it. Maybe me and my buddies are just better craftsmen then you, but we put what we have together in a day and a half, not all summer. We were not building it to compete with other backyards for the best setup. We live 2 min. away from our resort, which has a good park! We just wanted something where we could jam whenever we want... like when night skiing ends and we're not done yet! Or just any other time. Just some friends and no lift lines, or waiting at all. We have all our lights set up. Not 3000 watts, but we didn't need that. We have 2000, but 1000 is all we're using. But if you wanna talk watts... we push our music at about 5000 watts. What we built is all about a good time and it is still a work in  progress. We will continue to add to it. And if anyone local wants to come show us how to ski, I will be more then happy to have you come over and give me some lessons. I don't know... I am happy to have this in my backyard, actually pretty stoked. That's why I made the thread.

ok let me make one thing clear... i didnt mean my comments to be belittling, i think  you did a great job..
 as far as "Craftsmanship"  goes i built it over the summer when i had the time (most of my pieces took a few hours too build)

both your setups are better than mine, i just got two ten foot long rails of different hights and a 6 ft drop in. used some wood from my old childhood playground and made a ladder . soooo sketchy i love it! oh and ask for an invite to build a jib 101 cult if you havent already cus its got some good ideas.

build it out of wood and for railing use PVC piping about 1 1/2 inches thick (i think) check it out my friends and i built one for a summer rail setup and the PVC slid $$$
