The jump line was open today... but everything was still super icy. I didn't do much park though. There was a little bit of powder to be had.

^^^ya that powder in north was pretty supreme...way better than the icy and windblown park.

I'd also like to point out how awesome moment is... the one with the rollers. They have grown to a perfect size for throwing spins of of nearly every one. I did a run just throwing threes off nearly every roller with the girls I was with since they stayed out of the park. That is one of my favorite runs now, soft/powder snow + huge rollers = mad fun.

I scoped out the big jump line yesterday morning. Takeoffs and landings seemed pretty much the same. I didn't hit them, but they should still be perfect for some shredding this weekend.

i should be out both of those days (homework permitting.)
as far as new stuff goes, they added the rainbow rail just below the rainbow box. its set up the same as the box. i.e. really bad. the jumps were actually alright. they made the kickers much more mellow so they kind of match the landings.

I'll be there both as well most likely. and it's impossible to get to the top of the rainbow from jumping from the side, at least it was saturday. The jumps are nice, landed my first 5 off the second one on the left... hopefully the first on the right isn't too shitty tomorrow, I want to try it off that.

that flat down box is my favorite jib at kb, i hope it does not become destroyed like the rest of kb's boxes. (actually the rainbow box is still in 1 piece, but since it is set up so shitty it is dead to me)

I personally think the way they have the FD setup is stupid... it's way towards the end of the hill right when it gets steep. They tried to make it even with the down slope I guess, but it ended up being alot flatter than they thought. So it seems like the box is a slightly up - slightly down box with a huge drop to the steep, hard packed landing.
the barrels are out, they put one where the down C used to be. No lip to it, you just have to ollie about a foot or two high to get on it. I didnt find it too hard, but I can ollie pretty high. It's a pretty stupid setup though. Even worse than the last barrel setup. Everything else didn't change.
Oh, after the storm there was some pow, and it was nice. and the snow was soft. and it was f&*@$ing cold.

The park was empty tonight. I couldn't bring myself to hit the two lower jumps without even seeing somebody do it. The landing on the first jump in the line is way flat. The flat down box was kinda nice. They love to plop down jibs with no takeoffs.

the flat down box itself isnt bad, but the landing is ridiculous. its just a sheet of ice. the barrel is crazy too. even the boarders are having trouble getting onto it.
i think the last jump hates me. ive landed in the screamin postion twice off of it.

they took down the 1st jump on the left, now it is a small step up to bump butter pad. i slid the flatdown box once, the landing made my teeth hurt

damn, i meant to say the 1st jump on RIGHT was taken down and turned into a butter pad. the smaller jumps on the LEFT are still the same. i was not paying attention when i was typing earlier, sorry

Made it out to KB today for the first time, was pretty fun little park...
same as the guy above.. couldn't bring myself to hit the 2 booters without seeing someone else go off it.
I also liked the flat rail near the top.. was tryin to spin 270's off it, and bailed a few times haha.
and that FD box landing is so sketch, just a sheet of ice.
Oh and they were also pumpin out crazy tunes today hahaha

Those 2 booters are super intimidating. The first one, if you drop from the top of the 1st jumps table, and straightline it in, you will hit it perfectly.
I still have yet to summon the balls to spin off it though.

park has been updated, featuers added and featured ripped out. We are adding what operations is letting us add right now, trying to fill the dead space with rollers and other fun tranny gaps. New stuff going up and changing on a daily basis. Eric Langman quit as the park director and let my boss and i pretty much take the reigns for the remainder of the season"
That's from Justin.

who is this Justin and who is running the park now? anyway i went to KB thursday afternoon and had a good time. there are 4 rollers before the stepupstepdown and the rainbow and flatboxes have been buried real deep, but they have nice landings are actually fun to slide

I'm don't have conformation on this yet, but from what my cousin told me earlier this year, he was head builder. So I belive Justin's boss would be the character known as Shawn Voit. Don't hold me to it, I'll get back to you guys as soon as I talk to his brother.
But I do know that Justin is a skier, and my cousins started to hate Langman because he turned into a fat, lazy slob who spent his hours in the bar instead of his job. So I'm expected very good changes for the rest of the season.

Much improved...
Flat box has been moved inbetween the 2 jumps on the left, and is buried deep, which is fun IMO, and it has a good landing off the end.
flat-up-flat is in the place of the flat box and had a really nice takeoff.
One of the bigger sewer tubes is where the rianbow box used to be.
Rainbow Rail is flipped around so it is actually hit-able by anyone who wishes. Steeper section is at the end of it.
Rainbox box is buried deep and looks real fun to play on.
Give me a takeoff for the candy-cane rail, and I'll be happy.
I did however get on 2 park guys bad side because I was trying to fill in the culverts before the features, and they got pissed because I was stomping the takeoff of the rainbow box.
They acted like I ruined it. Little did they know I had already fixed the flat box earlier by doing the same thing. Oh well. They'll get over it. Maybe if they did their own jobs better I wouldn't need to be out there stomping takeoffs with my skis.
Still a marked improvement already.

everything up top is pretty well buried. for the 1st large jump they dug out the landing so it is a little longer, which is actually pretty nice, but with the extra snow they built some pretty large left and right banked turns in between the 1st and last jumps. they seem pretty wasteful, they could have easily built extra kickers for the jumps, but these turns will be gaper shredded to ice in no time and maybe that snow will be put to some use. I did not hit the last jump for it looked sketchy, but the 1st one is pretty fun and the longer landing is a bonus.

What's your boot sole length? I have some skis and I work at Snowflake at the mountain. If you want to go skiing either tomorrow (tuesday) or thursday (around 2ish) let me know and i can hook you up with some skis, depending on your boot.

Alright, if they are 28's I have a pair of Karma's that will fit them or a pair of forward mounted T-Halls.

No park skiing for me anymore this season likely. Dislocated the shoulder badly again Saturday. And then it popped out again later that evening while loading the car for Vermont.
I can ski on it, but park is too much too soon. I skied Killington yesterday no problem, but park might not work out too well.

The phillips clan will be there. I'm not sure, but I believe that we are going to Bristol on Monday. Does anyone know how the park is holding up?

i was there all weekend for eastern championships, and it was excellent. the whole mountain was actually really good. no bare spots, and they had plenty of snow. the park had some pretty good booters, and a handful of rails, and pipe wasnt to bad.
