Boot Pressure Points - Solutions?

Alright, so my boots suck. I wont even get into how they fit my toes and how they keep my heel down (hint, they dont). New ones are on the way, as soon as my paychecks accumulate.
However, after yesterday, second day on them this season, new thinner socks and clamping the shit out of my feet to try and get a better fit, I notice two things - no shinbang (YES!!)... but weird triangular shaped bruises on the inside of my calf, right at the base of that big muscle that gets sexy-looking from all the legwork we do. They arent purple, they're red, and sore as shit. I think these either are mega-bruises or weird rub spots.
So, dilemma - these hurt like shit, and new boots are a month away. I need a temporary solution. Anyone have any idea of what to do? Modifying the liner, bad or good idea, suggestions in doing so? Extra padding there, maybe even shaving whatever the fuck it is off the shell? I'm considering the resell on these boots nil because of the smell, so anything up to char-broiling them is acceptable in customization.

Hard to say without seeing them. It sounds like they're too big if your having to crank the shit out of them to get control. When you are in a boot that's too big and packed out and you start cranking it down then you get all sorts of pressure points because the shell is warping so much. If thats the case, you could add some shims and pads to hold you over until you get new boots. They have pads that you can add to the tounge if you have too much room in the cuff. Possibly some L shaped pads to hold the heel better. Adding shims underneath the liner can help if there is too much volume in the foot and your having to over-crank the lower buckles. It's always better to start with a small boot and make more room than to go to a bigger size but there are some things you can do to take up some of the room. Are you going to a tighter, lower volume boot for your new boot?

get full tilts...theyre sick, and the pressure is distributed evenly throughout

On my Lange 120 Frs, the inside rivet rubs on my ankle bone protrusion a bit. I put probably 8 layers of duct tape on it last year, and it made things better for a while, so that might help.

That's what I did, but just cause they fit me doesn't mean they will fit him. I think he told me that ID liners don't work that well for him, but maybe that was somebody else.

you can get big sheets/rolls of rubber which has adhesive on one side..i'd be getting some of that, and literally padding out any areas that you need to crank down in your boot..It obviously sounds too bit, but that solution is a month away, so a temp. fix would be to try and fill out the space using something like what i described.
MAYBE poot a second footbed in there to once again take up some more space, but thats not always an effective fix.
Can you find anything in the shell/liner that explains the shapes on your foot?
If not, i would definitely say it is as a result if you having to crank the boots so much..As another guy above said, the shell warps and overlaps on itself creating some wierd pressure points you wouldn't want to ever have again.
Main thing: If the boot last actually fits (width, instep etc) - try and fill up the gaps without having to crank the boot so hard.

Got back from work and just messed with the boots and liners. Yeah, the pressure point that made the weird triangular bruise is from the top edge of the back of the boot, I guess the liner didnt pad it enough or something. I'm going to pad that back area of the shell with duct tape.
As for the boots, yes they are too big (I can fit three fingers between the shell and my heel, comfortably) and yes, I really want FT Konflicts or the Il Moro, or maybe even a Lange 80 with an ID liner (same price in the end as the others, but Langes fit my feet soooo nice... unknown how the Konflict or Moro will do once the ID liner is molded, but they always feel shitty before that apparently)... we'll see if my boss throws in a christmas bonus, or finally get me the $3000 in back pay I'm owed.

Nice, get the il moro if it feels halfway decent with the intuitions, it will feel 100 times better once you have them molded. In my opinion, the Dalbello is a much better boot than the full tilt. The Dalbello can be soft in the forward flex (which helps shin bang) but stiff in the lateral flex which gives you performance, whereas the full tilt is mushy in all directions.
Langes with intuitions would be a good setup too though. Just the intuition itself will probably eliminate your shin and calf issues because it is able to accomadate any size calf. When you tighten the buckles on the shell around an intuition liner, the intuition wraps tighter so that there is no gap between your leg and the liner which is a big contributer to shin bang.

We must have similar feet. The Langes are dope boots, I bet they would be even sicker with ID liners.
FT Konflicts are sooooo fuckin light though.

I love my Langes. Super precise and powerful boots, can jib rails and rip steep scary stuff with the same boot. Yummy.

They're too big. Take them back to your shop a and ask for a partial refund. If you've only had 2 days then they should give you about 75-80% back. Then go to a good shop and buy something that fits.
