are the FIS version of salomon's bindings basically the same as the lifter version of look/rossi's? Basically i'm wondering if you can pull the riser plate off and shorten the screws to make them sit lower. Plus can you get wide brakes for these? i'm looking at S912 FIS.

I have wide brakes! I have wide brakes!  though I don't know if they will go on an s912.  a little research shall yield an answer..
