Avy classes?

Get the number or website for your local (or nearest) avalanche center and find out when they're doing classes.  By far the best way to learn, and they're super cheap for what you get out of it.

If you told people WHERE you lived (Denver), they'd be better able to help.

Do an internet search. Avy level 1 and 2 certification in Canada is 10x better and more respected than level 1 and 2 in the U.S. If you're in Canada at some point, check it out. I'm talking about what you need to demonstrate. Not that the instructors are bad in the U.S. b/c they aren't.
