well, if youre in western maine and anywhere near north conway NH, i would recommend stan and dans sports in north conway. ask for dick and have him fit you because he is the best, i have bought my last 3 or 4 pairs from him and he really knows how to fit people.
I'm from Otisfield Maine which is like 40 minutes from conway and i just go to Stan and Dan's for their stuff. they have a reliively small selection of twins but not a lot of shops are twin tip orriented. For places that sell skis in maine. Alberg's have some stuff but Jaylib is against them now after hes gotten 2 pullouts out of their binding mounting jobs. There are Joe jones in Maine, a half dozen skis shops near sunday river and near sugarloaf. The sports haus in Bridgeton has line is your interested in line. Rumour has it that Jack frost fits a good boot and there used to be a speciality boot fitter on 26 right before the Malard mart in bethel but i think thats gone.
joe jones, arlberg, and roger's are all good ski shops. they are in scarborough (ya kind of weird that there are three ski shops in one town 1.5 hours from the closest decent mountain) , which is like 2 hours from bangor. there is also philbricks in dover, nh.
