Do not buy fischer X14 bindings. fuckkkkkkk

k so first day riding this year, first run. Landings are icy and bumpy so to start i decide to throw a little 3, I slip a little on the landing in the back seat and my right ski comes off. I ski out of it and start climbing back up to grab my stick. Then i notice a huge chunk out of the top of my brand new fischer binding. So i took em into the shop and theyre not sure if they can warranty them cuz it looks like impact. On a scale of 1 to pissed off, im pretty damn pissed off right now.

Don't worry. First run and they bust...you'll get your warranty. If they say no then raise hell and they'll buckle.

pics would be time consuming, basically its cosmetic. I was just angry cuz there like $300 bindings, they shouldnt break on the first run, im pretty sure if that happened to anyone but ned flanders they would be a little pissed. I'm not sure if im going to get them warrentied even if they do, because it means i will have to re-drill or fill in the holes with glue or heli coils or something and i dont really want to do that. So we'll see im going to the shop tommorow and I'll see what they can do for me

My friend broke his salomon z12's the 2nd day he had them last year. The shop said they wouldn't do anything for him because he turned up the din to high for his skill level( the shop said 7 and he had them at 9 or 10 i believe). They just broke when he landed a misty 5.

fischer doesn't make or even design their own bindings, everything's done by tyrolia and fischer just gets their 'sticker' on top of it

So took em in today and the shop was good about it, theyre throwing on a whole new set of X14's , hopefully they dont break as easily as the first ones.
