sup, k heres wassup my dad worx for homeland security and hes on a business trip and he met a dude who worx with the copyright infrigement shit and he told my dad they were preparing a major blow to everyone who shares songs the reason they havent done it earlier is bc they wanna attack a larger population ive already set up computer for an emergency reboot in case i get caught itll erase everything but if i was u just at least uninstall kazaa or use it rarely bc they know youre dl songs by the size of the bandwith youre comp is receiving so keep it reaaaal low, i already got warnings from them bc i was dl 87 songs at the same time

There is no way they can tell you are downloading songs by the amount of bandwith you are using.

this is what i do...they are attacking people with HUGE lists of songs that they are sharing...I copy my songs from limewire to iTunes and then delete them in kazaa, then you're not sharing any songs... it maybe a dick thing to do but at least im not going to have a lawsuit

Yeah, simply remove songs from your shared folder or turn of sharing...and don't download massive amounts of songs at the same time.

u guys, if you have kazaa just download songs and dont share. this way no one can tell if u have songs unless they are sitting in ur chair looking at ur computer and i dont think the government is gonna do that. just download as much as u can cause pretty soon no one will be sharing!

Im not too worried. If y ou do want to be cautious just dont share any songs. But even with that, I doubt that it will matter. Like the two above me said, there are way too many people on Kazaa to punish.

I know firsthand that if you are not an uploader that they WILL NOT prosecute you. Maybe there are some exceptions.

I had my computer confiscated a while back, I had 1,000 + mp3s, software, videos.

And they are not going to do anything about the music. so let it go.
