Is it easier/harder to slide rails if?

Do you think that it is easier to slide rails with very little edge oppose to more edge? My skis after a year of skiing and doin rails, the edges of course are very round. Do you think it would be esier if the edges were new but not sharp so they wouldn't catch?

ya the pow air grinds were so ridicuously brutal on the rest of the hill, they were only good for rails so they discontinued them with the rest of the pow air line and made way for the scratches

You can buy an edge detuner, or just use sand paper i guess. You just have to rub this against the edge till it starts to wear off and get real rounded, it doesn't affect ur skiing very much, but it'll make sure u don't fall over urself when your on a rail

i sharpen my twins once a month, and was them everytime i ski.....i used to be on the race team (ack) so i'm very hard on the turns and shit, i'm adapting to it, it's not dangerous to have sharp edges....also my salomons have softer edges

i have trouble sliding rails if i put my left ski on my right foot so maybe you shouldnt do that.....hahaha...jk...but anyway, i have skis with no edge, and i have skis with new edge...i think it is best either way

oh i dont think it matters at all, get on the rail, balance come off the rail edges might have somthing to do with it but if u grind your edges its not gonna make u be able to sex change a 100 foot rail so it doesnt matter all that much is what im saying

i say sharp because it will help u learn to get on and stay on the rail correctly, so when u go to do a kink with rounded edges or sharp it will be a piece of cake.

I heard that if you ejaculate on the rail and use it as lubrication you can slide it with more steeze and power. The chickies love this too.....

I ski race so I know how to detune and sharpen my edges and everything else yo0u could possibly imagine. All i wanted to know is if you slide tons and tons of rails that eventually you went evn relly sliding on your edges as much and more your base, is than esier or harder or what?

If you have rounded edges it is a faster slide, less sticking.
