i found a guy selling one with like 120k on it for 3k, and will go lower
after going on kbb.com i looked at the specs to see hp, and gasmileage, and it said it needed turbo gas.
what is the difference between this and regular gas? how big is the price difference?
is this a good deal
(im loooking for a ski/school car to last a good while thru college and then some, how long do ssaabs generally run till, like 250k?+or -?)

I drive a WRX.  I've never heard the term "turbo gas" used, but my car does require premium.  You're also going to have to shell out more money for premium synthetic oil every time you get your oil changed.

The most important thing you can do is to take it into a mechanic and have him look it over.  It really won't cost much and it's a life saver.  If you can, try to get a mechanic that has a lot of experience with turbochargers.  Turbo's are incredibly delicate and are often the first important engine component to break.  If the guy who owned it before you didn't take care of it properly, 130k is a lot of potential damage.

It doesn't mean the car is bad just because it has that many miles on it.  I bought my WRX with 102k on it and I've driven it all over the western US in the last couple months.  It runs like a dream.  Just make sure you take it to a mechanic.

Saab parts are very expensive, so factor that into your purchase.
With that mileage, expect to have some parts that need to be replaced

My truck gets the same as the 9-5's, and she gets better than the 9-7x.

Meh i have to use premium gas and to me its worth the 10c a liter more to drive my car and have it boosting the numbers it is.  It is a bit of pain if your doing long trips etc and turbo cars do not get the greatest gas milage, I think it is worth it, you have to make your own decision.  Oh and Saabs are nice cars and if they are well maintained they go for a long time, however if they are beat on they have a tendency to break expensively.

i talked to my friend who sadi that you didnt need to use premium but it was highly reccomended, and iwont be amking too long of trips, mabye up to an hour and a half

If you run your car on a lower than recommended octane rating you'll lose power.  Turbos compress a lot of air and gas into each piston and if the gas isn't high quality (i.e. premium) the mixture will explode prematurely.  It's called knocking and you can hear it happen. 

With that being said, I ran my car on regular for about a month at one point and never heard any knocking.

is knocking bad? i would probally buy premium, but i might buy regular sometines too...

also im taking a look at a 97 mitsu eclipse gs, it has 77k on it and he only wants 2500,  so im gonna look at that  too

Yeah, it'll destroy your engine eventually.

Just make friends with a mechanic and take the cars in.  I was going to buy a really nice looking '98 A4 until I had it check out.  It turns out that pretty much every non-visible part was broken.  ABS/engine mounts/transmission/timing belt/air bags, god, it would have cost me more to repair it than the guy was asking on the car.

im def bringign it to a mechanic especially that eclipse if it nice, cause its 1k under kbb price so thats kinda sketch

saabs are very good cars, my grandpa used to have a 9000 turbo and it was a fast car, they will run for along timebut the it did have some eletrical problems, i think he used mid grade gas and it worked fine.

its a 9000 cs turbo

i think im gonna get it it has a dent in hte hood, ZERO rust, all it needs is a hood, and 2 front tires to pass inspection, i made an offer at 2.3k
